SPECIFIC NEED PARENT INPUT  FORM

Parent Climate Survey

Hello Vine Hill Community,

Thank you to those who have completed the 2024-25 Parent Climate survey.

We have received responses from only 25% of our parent community. We value your input and encourage you to complete the survey as just one way to participate in your student(s)' educational experience.

This year's Parent Climate Survey will be open only until April 22.

5th Grade Bike Rodeo: Safety on Two Wheels! 🚴‍♂️🚦

Our 5th graders participated in a fun and educational Bike Rodeo! This hands-on event gave students the opportunity to learn essential bicycle safety skills while having a great time navigating a specially designed course.

Students practiced how to safely ride, use proper hand signals, and follow road signs such as stop, yield, and pedestrian crossings. The course mimicked real-life street scenarios, helping students build confidence and responsibility when biking.

Not only did the rodeo reinforce the importance of wearing helmets and being aware of surroundings, but it also showed our young riders how to share the road respectfully and smartly.

Vine Hill Kick Ball "League"

Vine Hill Students Kick Off Fun with New Kick Ball League

What started as a casual playground pastime has now become the hottest new sports sensation at Vine Hill Elementary School. A group of spirited students have banded together to form the school’s very first Kick Ball League, sparking excitement, teamwork, and a whole lot of friendly competition.

April: Arab & Persian American Heritage Month & Environmental Awareness Month

We acknowledge April as Arab & Persian American Heritage Month and Environment Awareness Month.

During the month of April, the achievements of Arab Americans are recognized to celebrate their numerous contributions to our community in business, politics, education and other areas.

Earth Day is April 22, 2025, celebrating its 55th year of national recognition as a day to promote conservation and sustainability within the environment.

Team Smart Shines in California's Physical Fitness Test Mile Run!

Today was a day of determination, grit, and triumph as Team Smart successfully completed the Physical Fitness Test Mile Run for the State of California!

Under clear skies and a spirit of unity, every student gave their all—pushing through personal challenges and supporting one another every step of the way. The mile run, a key component of California’s statewide Physical Fitness Test, is designed to measure cardiovascular endurance and overall fitness in students from grades 5, 7, and 9. But today, it became so much more than a test—it was a celebration of progress, teamwork, and effort.

The Garden Girls

Meet our three hens! Born in late November, our girls are weeks away from laying their first eggs.

Rosie is our lightest in color and smallest. She loves to cuddle, snuggle and be carried around!

Pom Pom is curious and our resident escape artist. She’s always leading her sisters on adventures out in the garden. She has a lighter pink comb and loves to eat!

And finally Peeps! With her dark red comb and stripey feathers, you’ll find our skittish girl looking for places to hide and seeking refuge from kid chaos.

Dear Vine Hill Elementary Families,

It’s that time of year again—time to order your yearbooks! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to capture memories from this school year. Plus, you can customize two pages with your own photos—how cool is that?

The deadline to order is April 30th. Simply scan the barcode below to purchase your yearbook and customize your pages.

Also, we need MORE PHOTOS for the yearbook! If you have pictures from field trips, classroom parties, or any special moments with classmates, please upload them. It’s easy! Download the app (if you haven’t already), click on “Content,” and you’ll find folders for each teacher and grade.

Let’s make this year’s yearbook extra special with your memories!

Warm regards,

Jennie McCormick (Parent Coordinator)

A Dream Ride to School, Thanks to SV Fire Department

Two lucky students got the ride of a lifetime this week, thanks to the generosity of the SV Fire Department. As part of our Annual Auction, parents had the opportunity to bid on a special experience: a ride to school in a firetruck. The winning family gifted this unforgettable morning to their children—and it was a moment they’ll never forget.
