Project Main Street construction will begin shortly though the start date is still unknown. When the construction does begin, to improve and repair Main Street, traffic will be routed (Northbound) onto Serenade Lane to Second St. north to 10th Street with cross streets open variously.
NourishMe and our fellow Main Street businesses will remain open throughout Project Main Street construction.
Over the past month, in preparation for this upcoming construction, Ketchum's local business community has worked with city officials to assist those who'll be affected. We ask that everyone be attentive to the on-going changes and notices. The Washington Ave. parking lot will be free through the construction period.
Among Ketchum businesses, the other concerns are the elimination of 25 parking spots on Main Street. The Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency also wants to build a new 66 unit, four story housing, with bottom floor retail spaces in the Washington Ave. parking lot, behind NourishMe, Thunderpaws Pet Shoppe, LuluLemon and Sushi on Second.
This lot was previously a tree-filled grassy area. Then a parking lot. The loss of more parking in Ketchum all points to high density, low parking with discrimination (abelism) against those with disabilities, are elderly, injured, have families in tow, etc. We believe there should be a way forward while taking all of this into consideration, not just more development.
All this brings us to major questions for our community. What is a small mountain town? How do we protect the businesses that we already have?Who do we want to be? How do we want to live and what do we want to present to others?

- Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Purée and adjust broth amounts to desired creaminess.
- Add sea salt, and simmer at least 10 minutes more.
- Serve garnish with parsley or chives or cilantro chopped arugula.
Benefits
Salt is a essential mineral for those of with low adrenal function. Ginger has anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties as well as promoting good digestion. Garlic is powerful anti-fungal, excellent for warding off parasites, yeast, and pathogenic bacteria.
Making your own broths from local meat bones or chicken adds vital minerals, fat, and protein that are easily absorbed through the intestinal lining giving our digestive organs a much-needed break to perform other important rejuvenating functions.

Eshcol Red is an authentic and approachable red blend, sourced entirely from our Main Ranch vineyard. Trefethen Family Vineyards' winemaker Bryan Kays crafts a unique blend each year, featuring the strengths of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot complemented by the inclusion of smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with bold fruit-forward aromas of blackberry and dried cherry. On the palate, bright red fruit flavors give way to modest tannins and balanced acidity,

Reading
Slow Food USA, an organization that champions local food and traditional cooking compiles a catalog called the Ark of Taste, listing 300 foods in danger of disappearing altogether.
Sarah Lohman, a gastronomic historian, dived into eight Ark entries as the basis for “Endangered Eating: America’s Vanishing Foods.”
The New York Times review wrote, "It’s as much a fascinating study of heirloom cider apples and Buckeye chickens as it is a commentary on the way politics, money and convenience have conspired against America’s culinary history.
"The deep cultural and political history Lohman unearths is worth the ride."
