Month three is complete! They say time flies when you are having fun, and we are loving every moment of 2024! The Lord is so good to us! Keep

reading to get a snapshot view of some of the blessings of March, and

continue to celebrate with us not only that we serve a risen Savior,

but that we get to love because He first loved us!

Puerto Rico Mission Trip

Over spring break, twelve athletes from UK, Transy, and Asbury headed to Puerto Rico to partner with the LYNC8 organization for a week of serving led by two CKY FCA staff members. Throughout their trip, students had the opportunity to lead a multi-day sports clinic at a local elementary school, during which they got to teach kids about different sports and share the gospel. The school was very appreciative of our presence and investment in the children, and our athletes had a great time. Check out what they had to say about the week:

"This experience reminded us to never underestimate the ability of God to open doors to his disciples to share the gospel." -Tanner Parks

"Coming to Puerto Rico was one of the best decisions of my life. The Lord has renewed and refreshed me on this trip in reminding me of my true purpose: to love and obediently serve Christ as Lord of my life in every area of life." -Brooke Bultema

Athelete Speaks to Students

On March 5th, Josh Lapadat (UK's men's tennis) spent his morning at EJ Hayes Middle School sharing with kids in their FCA chapter. He got to tell them about his story and how God is using him on his campus. We are so grateful for our college athletes using their testimonies to encourage and set an example for younger students!

Guest Speaker at Huddle

Mid-month, UK athletes got to hear from Jimmie Roper, Student Pastor from Grace Christian Church in Georgetown, when he spoke at their Multi-Sport Huddle. During his talk about generational sin, he shared how we all sin and fall short of the

glory of God. It is only by grace alone through the sacrifice of Christ that

we can inherit righteousness and become children of God.

Thank you so much, Jimmie, for bringing the Word!

Graduate Study

Christ-centered community is important for believers during every stage of life, which is why staff member Heather Summers has begun a Bible study for UK athletes who have graduated or are in grad school. Their weekly study on Saturday mornings

is currently taking them through the book of 1 Peter and has been such a

wonderful time of growth. Praise God for these men and women and

their continued dedication to gaining wisdom and bearing good fruit.

Central Kentucky Huddle

This semester's collegiate worship night took place in Richmond and was hosted by our friends with EKU FCA! They had lots of fun Minute to Win It games planned, and over 160 students from schools all over Central Kentucky came out for community, worship led by members of Southland's worship team, and teaching by James Bush. What a blessing it was to gather as a body and meet new friends!

Huddle Growth

Scott County High School's Multi-Sport Huddle has been flourishing this year! What started out as an average attendance of 6-8 students is consistently up to 40+ kids. Hallelujah! How incredible is it to see young people hunger for Christ and share that by inviting others to join?

Morning Worship

Students at Tates Creek Middle got to start their Huddle with worship led by IBC-Armstrong Mill Worship Leader Jared Underwood when he came to visit. During his time with the kids, he also reminded them that God is always with His children, because we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, Who empowers us to do hard things for His kingdom.

Staff Goes to RealTime

At the beginning of the month, members of our CKY staff joined 3,000+ FCA Teammates from around the globe at the RealTime conference in Orlando, Florida. The weekend featured teaching from incredible men of God like Tony Dungy, Tony Evans, and Jonathan Isaacs. Cain even led everyone in worship! Furthermore, encouragement was shared by staff who are in the schools everyday facing the trials and realities of doing ministry, but throughout it all, have always seen victory in Christ. What a wonderful time of intentional community and refreshment!
