Legislative Education and Action Day 2024

This year at PPAI’s L.E.A.D. (Legislative Education and Action Day), the Pacific Northwest was proudly represented by NWPMA Past President Dani Smith from Third Day Creative, Heather Comerford from 1338 Tryon, along with Mark Shinn, a dedicated member of the PPAI Government Relations Committee, and Thomas Dalis from Timbuk2, NWPMA President-Elect. The team visited several U.S. Senators and Representatives from the Pacific Northwest, engaging in vital discussions about our industry and the impact of government policies on our sector.

Dani Smith reflected on the experience, stating, "It is always an honor to serve as a representative at L.E.A.D. in Washington, DC. We had a great team, and our discussions underscored the significant economic impact of our industry and the need for supportive policies. PPAI does a fantastic job organizing this event, providing us with a wonderful opportunity to represent our industry on Capitol Hill." READ MORE

Board Chair Andrew Spellman Announces PPAI Leadership Change

In a letter sent to the Association’s members on Wednesday, PPAI Board Chair Andrew Spellman, CAS, announced that Dawn Olds, MAS, has been appointed Interim President and CEO of PPAI.

Olds, a 35-year promotional products veteran who recently retired as HALO’s senior vice president of industry relations and DEI, is set to steer PPAI through a leadership transition and succession at the President and CEO position currently held by Dale Denham, MAS+, who has led the organization since August 2021. France Recalls Olympics-Branded Children's Water Bottles

Olympics-branded water bottles for children contained the chemical bisphenol A (BPA), prompting officials in France, where the 2024 Summer Games are being held, to recall the products. READ MORE
