Welcome Dustin Moyer,

Mountain Family’s new Chief Executive Officer

We had a chance to sit down with Dustin to talk about his goals for Mountain Family, our patients, and our community, and learn more about our new CEO.

How can the unique cooperation among Colorado CHCs, the support from the philanthropic community, and strategic partnerships with organizations like Mountain Family and community partners contribute to the effectiveness and intentional service delivery for the communities we serve?

In Colorado, I’ve seen incredible levels of support from the organizations involved in the community health center movement. I’ve received words of encouragement and offers of support from fellow FQHC CEOs and from the member associations that serve safety net clinics. This interconnectedness and willingness to collaborate is an invaluable asset to Colorado.

I’m also eager to engage the tremendous community partners that serve the Roaring Fork, Eagle, and Colorado River Valleys. I know how lucky we are as a community to have such a dedicated and effective non-profit infrastructure and I look forward to partnering with these groups.

Accepting New Patients

We are currently accepting new patients at all locations.

We provide affordable healthcare services for all, regardless of income, insurance, or citizenship status. We accept patients who have Medicaid, Medicare, Health First Colorado/CHP+, and most private insurance plans. We offer sliding scale programs for our patients and other assistance programs for those without insurance.

We realize many of our community members may be losing Medicaid coverage this year. MFHC has certified assisters to help facilitate this transition. Meet with our Outreach & Enrollment Department to begin your renewal process, apply for a plan on Connect for Health Colorado, or simply get your questions answered. You may contact us by emailing EnrollmentHelp@mountainfamily.org or calling (833) 273-6627.

Thank You for Giving the Gift of Health

As we start the new year and reflect on our accomplishments, we are grateful to all our patients who consider Mountain Family Health Centers their healthcare home.

Our impact in the community is only possible with resources provided by our funding partners, donors, and community members who believe in what we do. Support from people like you has provided essential resources, helping us weather the post-COVID-19 pandemic and the increase of uninsured community members who lost coverage due to the Medicaid redetermination. We continue to serve everyone in communities who need healthcare - regardless of their ability to pay. Thank you for your unwavering support!

If you want to become more involved or learn ways to give, please get in touch with

Celebrating Our Staff

It's no secret that the staff at Mountain Family Health Centers give their all for our patients, our community, and our mission. A staff that works so hard deserves to come together laugh, dance, and appreciate each other.

In January, our staff did just that. With all locations represented, our Mariposa Commitee hosted a masquerade ball. Staff came ready to enjoy the evening in beautiful attire and fantastic masks. A wonderful time was had by all.

We are very thankful to the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge for hosting us and catering a delicious buffet. We are also grateful for donations from local businesses and other items that we raffled off that evening.

January's Mariposa Award Winner

Ericka Dries, LCSW

I would like to nominate Ericka for this month's Mariposa Award. Not only is Ericka one of the kindest people I work with, but she is also an exceptional therapist. She manages some of our most complex and acute patients and cares so much about their well-being and the well-being of her team. Not only is she a problem solver, she approaches challenges with curiosity and humor.

From her work in the community, on peer review, and the important work she does with her clients every day, Ericka is working to improve the health of our community and carry forth our mission. Ericka is funny, professional, and joy to work with!

Annie Edgecombe, Behavioral Health Program Manager
