Staff Appreciation Week Wrap-up
May 6-10 was Staff Appreciation Week and our community and PTSA really pulled together to shower the entire RHS staff with wonderful lunches and treats all week. A HUGE shoutout to Peggy, Mona, Kyle, Lisa, and Tracey for volunteering to setup and cleanup these events. We couldn’t do it without them and all of our generous parents who donated food/drinks. Thank you!
Finally, a run-down of the week’s events:
| |
Monday was a staff luncheon with Jersey Mike’s sandwiches, chips, and drinks.
Tuesday’s Snack Attack is a fan favorite – like adult trick or treating for snacks to provide little pick-me-ups throughout the week.
Wednesday, Los Chilangos food truck parked in the courtyard and provided staff meals while they enjoyed music and the amazing sunshine.
Thursday, each staff member received a hand-crafted treat box.
Friday capped off the week with sugar, sugar, sugar! The Sweet Treats we provided will surely catapult them into the weekend on a sugar high.

Grad Night Celebration Volunteers Needed!
Each year after graduation the PTSA organizes Grad Night Celebration, a safe, drug and alcohol-free, all-night event. Events like this aren’t possible without the support of amazing volunteers. Although we welcome senior parents to volunteer, it is our goal that this event be organized and chaperoned by parents of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. It's a way for underclassman parents to pay-it-forward so that senior parents can have a relaxing evening after the graduation ceremony.
Please consider volunteering on Thursday, June 13 to help make this night amazing. Sign up here.

The school is looking for approved volunteer parents to help drive some students to UW Bothell's College Awareness Day on Friday, May 17. Departure would be from RHS at 8:30am and pick up from UW Bothell at around 2pm. Drivers do not need to stay for the event. If you would like to volunteer or need more information, please contact Rose Wu (rwu@lwsd.org) from the College and Career Center.
