Taking Faith Home

This week's theme for Taking Faith Home is Jesus's compassion is greater than our misguided ways. Inside you'll find daily readings from both the Old and New Testaments which explore this theme, as well as conversation starters, service ideas, and more to help you focus on it throughout your week.

The Scripture passage for this week is Luke 13:34 (NRSV) :

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I [Jesus] desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing.”

Have you ever had a question you wished you could ask Pastor Sean about something in his sermon, but didn't know how to ask? Have you ever wondered something about Sunday's Scripture readings, but only after you got home from church? If these sorts of things have ever happened, then our new text line is for you!

Pastor Sean has set up a number you can text on Sunday or during the week with questions about the week's sermon or the Scripture readings it was based on. That number is 828-393-0083. Each week he'll review the questions received and his answers will be uploaded to our podcast on Monday. Unless you divulge your name, texts are anonymous. So, no need to feel shy or embarrassed.
