Outdoor Worship & Parish Picnic
This Sunday, June 30
This Sunday is our June Outdoor Worship Service at 10:30 AM followed by a Parish Picnic. The BBQ Ministry is hosting this month's picnic, serving beer brats with gluten-free & vegan options. (Suggested donation $5 per person / $20 per family.) No RSVP is needed to attend, but we could still use a few more volunteers to help with clean up, so please click below if you are available.

Practicing the Practice

Join members of The Well Imagining Team for an opportunity to experience Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina this Sunday morning. This will be meeting in a downstairs classroom (room change - look for a sign) beginning at 9:15 AM. Come explore how these practices might nourish and support your spiritual journey!

40s and 50s Potluck
Today, June 28, 5:00 - 8:00 PM
Tonight's summer potluck on the St. Mike's Plaza is sponsored by the 40s and 50s group, but all are welcome to join! They’ll be supplying BBQ brisket, ice for the coolers, and LIVE music! Youth Kickball Tourney
This Sunday, 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Bonforte Park
St. Mike's middle and high schoolers (including rising 6th graders) are invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of friendly kickball competition with church youth groups from all over Colorado Springs at Bonforte Park at 2323 W. Bible Women Study Group
Begins Next Monday, July 1
4:00 - 5:30 PM
For four Mondays in July (July 1, 8, 15, 22), join Rev. Vicki to study the women of the bible, their words, and why they matter to us now. This study is open to anyone who wants to attend any of the sessions (drop in is fine). The group be using the book: "Bible Women: All Their Words and Why They Matter - Expanded Second Edition" by Lindsay Hardin Freeman which you can get at your local independent bookseller, or Amazon. Get your own or share with a friend!

Spiritual Practices Online
Next Wednesday, July 3
6:30 - 7:00 PM
The Well's rotating Spiritual Practices Online resume next Wednesday evening. Join on Zoom for 30 minutes to experience Contemplative Resting with God, the first of the three practices in the monthly rotation. Click below to visit The Well’s website page to learn more about each of the practices being offered and to access the Zoom link. The schedule and link will also be available via the parish calendar and under Worship & Online on the website. You don't need to make an ongoing commitment - join as your schedule permits on the first three Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 PM!

Backpack Bash 4.0
Donation Drive
For the fourth straight year, St, Michael's is collecting backpacks and school supplies for our Outreach partners. Please help us meet our goal of collecting at least 60 backpacks filled with supplies for students in elementary through high school. Pick up a flyer in the Gathering Space this Sunday or click below to download/print the supply list which includes a QR code to skip the store and buy online through Amazon, Donations can be dropped off on Sundays or during the week, Mondays -Thursdays, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM in the bins in the Gathering Space. The deadline is July 28 to allow time for the donations to be sorted and distributed to the charities prior to the start of the school year. Thanks in advance for your support again this year!

Fall Supper Club
Sign Up By July 19
Following the very successful Spring Supper Club in which 56 people participated, it is time to sign up for fall groups. Supper Club is a fellowship opportunity open to all, and you do not have to be able to host in order to be a part. Those who sign up will be placed in a small group with whom to meet once a month for four months (August-November), typically in parishioners' homes. Handbell Workshops
July 7 & August 4
Noon - 2:00 PM
Are you interested in learning more about Handbells and how to play them? Mark your calendar to join for one or two workshops being held on Sunday, July 7 and Sunday, August 4 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM downstairs in the handbell practice room. These workshops are for those who have never rung handbells but are possibly interested in playing as well as current handbell ringers who want to improve their technique. Summer Children's Chapel
Sundays in July & August

Owen secured Children's Chapel volunteers through this Sunday, but he still has gaps to fill in the weeks ahead. Owen will provide all the logistics and a detailed lesson plan to follow making this a very straightforward endeavor. Please consider participating in this staple children's program that allows both our children and their parents to have a more meaningful worship experience.

SMASH Potluck on the Plaza

The St. Michael's Active Seniors Happening (SMASH) group is celebrating summer on the St. Mike's Plaza! Bring a heavy hors d'oeuvre, bottle of wine, or dessert to share. A group of 32 strong are signed up to join on Thursday, July 18, from 5:00 - 8:30 PM for supper and a musical show featuring the Flying W Wranglers, but there are still tickets available! Nursery Families Outing

Families with a child in the nursery (5 and under) are invited to meet for a Summer Splash Pad Day at John Venezia Park (intersection of Briargate and Union) on the morning of Saturday, July 20! Vacation Bible School

LEGO VBS this week was a HUGE success! Our 29 participants and roughly the same number of volunteers "Made a Plan, Set a Foundation, & Built with God." And they had quite a fun, joy, and Spirit-filled experience! These pictures say it all! Thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who made this experience possible!
