Deep and Abiding Relationships

Greetings Friends,

On these Sundays of Easter, Jesus appeared to his disciples, embodying the fulfillment of his resurrection. Jesus has reiterated in several metaphors the deep and abiding relationship between himself and his disciples, reaffirming the profound bond between himself and his followers. Similarly, this season, UCCI has endeavored to extend this message of interconnectedness to our cherished partners at WCUCC local churches and the Winnebago and Milwaukee Presbyteries.

We've been graciously welcomed at each of our association's annual meetings and our Presbyterian partner gatherings. Additionally, our representatives have been honored with invitations to share Camp Sunday messages at 11 churches statewide. These efforts aim to foster deeper relationships, facilitate information sharing, and pave the way for enriching experiences at our 2024 summer camps and retreats.

At UCCI, we're dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals to connect with the Divine, with others, and with nature amidst our breathtaking surroundings. However, we also recognize that sustaining our outdoor ministry requires the active participation and support of our guests. I believe we both need an abiding relationship to flourish.

Preparations are in full swing as we gear up for the summer camp season. From hiring seasonal staff to organizing training sessions, from sprucing up our camps to stocking our stores, we're diligently working the finishing touches for what promises to be an unforgettable summer.

I extend a heartfelt invitation for you to join us at camp! We have youth scholarship opportunities funded by grants at Daycholah Center, as well as UCCI scholarships available at both Moon Beach and Daycholah Center. Moreover, all four WCUCC Associations contribute to scholarships through our UCCI scholarship program, and many local churches offer additional financial support. Should you have any inquiries regarding registration or scholarships, please don't hesitate to reach out to our sites directly.

Finally, I encourage those interested to volunteer for our spring camp makeover initiatives. It's a wonderful opportunity to lend your skills and energy towards sprucing up our camps for the upcoming season.

With deep and abiding appreciation,

Jim
