Seeking Volunteers

As you know, we couldn't do it without the wonderful individuals who've donated their time and talents to the Chapter throughout the years to help put on such amazing events and offerings. Your Board is seeking any level of volunteers throughout the season. Whether you have a single day or even a couple hours or would like to help with something throughout the season, we would be grateful for any help we can get! The Board has many opportunities coming up where we will be in need of assistance. Reach out today to be a part of the action! Another great opportunity to share our love of golf would be volunteering with the First Tee Greater Charlotte. This is a local organization which focuses on teaching children the game of golf as well as other core values. There are plenty of opportunities all over the metro to get involved. Women on Par Scholarship Applications Open

The 2024 Women on Par Scholarship application opened on January 5, 2024 and will remain open until 200 completed applications are received or April 2, 2024, whichever occurs first. Thanks to LPGA Amateurs members and donors, in 2024, three (3) scholarships totaling $7,000 will be awarded: one (1) $4,000 Women on Par scholarship, one (1) $2,000 Women on Par scholarship, and one (1) $1,000 Women on Par scholarship. 

Originally established in 2007, and now provided by the LPGA Foundation, these scholarships are intended for women, aged 30 and older, who are attending a college or university for the first time or returning to school after an absence to complete their technical/vocational, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree. The scholarships are designed to help these women get “on par,” or get an equal footing, with their peers, friends, and other women who have had a chance to complete their college education. Winners are selected based on need, personal and professional goals, and their personal stories. Do you know someone who could benefit from this scholarship?

Member Access to 2024 LPGA Tour Events 

New for 2024! The LPGA is partnering with Seat Geek regarding ticketing for some of the 2024 LPGA Tournaments. This partnership will change the way that LPGA Amateurs members access their complimentary LPGA Tour tickets at certain events as well as their discounted hospitality tickets!

A schedule will be published on the LPGA Amateurs website that indicates how members can claim their tickets for each LPGA Tour event. An email will be sent next week with this announcement.
