From the Director
Dearest Mountain Song Community,

As the flowers bloom and the birds sing, we're delighted to invite you all to our much-anticipated May Faire celebration happening tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It's with joyous hearts that we extend this warm invitation to our cherished community. Saturday promises to be a day filled with laughter, merriment, and the spirit of spring in full bloom.

May Faire is not only a testament to the magic that happens when we come together as a community, but it’s also a vital fundraiser for our school and helps provide enriching materials and experiences for our students. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 by the end of the day on Saturday. You can help us reach that goal HERE!

Let's weave memories and laughter into the fabric of tomorrow's festivities, creating moments that will be cherished for years to come. Remember to wear white!

With warm regards,
Teresa M. Woods, Ph.D.
Executive Director

Wear WHITE to May Faire!
May Faire is a beautiful festival honoring the changing of seasons from darkness to light. It is a festive celebration of spring flowers, song, music, games, and other fun activities.

We cherish the way the colorful ribbons and flowers stand out against the white background created by everyone dressed in white! It is such a colorful and joyous celebration!

So throw on all the white you own, and help bring this magical day to life!

What a magical time at Mountain Song! Our rising first graders have been creating their very own Waldorf puppets! From choosing fabrics to stitching them together, these little artisans brought their imaginations to life! And the fun didn’t stop there – parents joined in, adorning the puppets with hair, crowns, and even needle felted capes! The joy on the students’ faces was priceless when they came into class last week to find their completed puppets. Soon, they’ll take part in the final puppet show of the school year! It’s a delight to see their imaginations soar during this process.
5th Grade Pentathlon
Our 5th graders had a wonderful time at the annual 5th grade pentathlon!

Our students truly shone bright, showcasing not just their athleticism, but also their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. It was incredible to witness them giving their all in each challenge, representing Mountain Song with pride.

The camaraderie among the students from different Waldorf-inspired schools was inspiring. They formed bonds, cheered each other on, and embodied the values of community and friendship that we hold dear.

Thank you to all the families who came out to support our team. Your presence and encouragement made the event even more special, and our students felt the love and spirit of Mountain Song every step of the way.
End of Year Medication Pick-Up
If your student(s) currently has medication in the front office, this is a friendly reminder that all medications must be picked-up and signed out to a legal guardian from the front office, no later than May 24th, at 3:30 p.m

All medications (including EpiPens, Tylenol, ADHD medications, or inhalers) that have not been signed out by 3:30pm on the last day of school will be disposed of by the school nurse, Kacie Ripperger. Medications are not allowed on the school premises during summer break.
Dropoff and Pickup Safety
Just a quick reminder about school pickup and dropoff: let's keep it safe and courteous for everyone!

  • Be patient: Traffic can get a bit crazy during these times, but patience goes a long way. Take a deep breath and stay calm.
  • Follow the rules: Whether it's designated dropoff zones, speed limits, or parking regulations, let's make sure we're all playing by the same rules.
  • Watch out for pedestrians: Lots of little ones crossing the streets, so let's keep a keen eye out for them.
  • Stay off the phone: Avoid distractions while driving through the school zone. A quick call or text can wait until you're safely parked.
  • Be kind: A smile or a wave can make someone's day, so let's spread some positivity in our community.

Thanks for helping to keep our school community safe!
