Drive for the Dream!

Find out more

Swing for a cause at the first annual Drive for the Dream Golf Classic! Join us for a day of golf, camaraderie, and giving back to support the future of education in Douglas County. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a casual player, your participation will help raise essential funds to support innovative programs, scholarships, and opportunities for students and educators.

By joining us on the course, you’re directly impacting the lives of students and teachers in our Douglas County Schools. Your support helps fund initiatives that foster creativity, leadership, and success in the classroom. Together, we can ensure every student has the necessary resources to thrive.

We are seeking golfers, sponsors, and volunteers to help make this event successful. Your involvement, whether through sponsorship, participation, or a donation, will directly benefit the Foundation's programs. Together, we can make a difference.

Let’s tee off for education and create lasting change together!

We ❤️ Our Teachers!

Pencils, sticky notes, graph paper, whiteboard markers, and headphones remained popular, along with composition books, tissues, Post-its, and art supplies at this year's Teacher School Supply Drive Grab & Go events! We were thrilled to see many teachers from across the district join us at the Canvas Credit Union in Lone Tree on January 30 & 31. Generous school supply donations were collected through our partners at the Douglas County Libraries, Office Depot, and other local business partners throughout the month of January.

In addition to the usual list of supplies, we were excited to receive lots of teacher-specific items such as room decorating items, motivational tools, and organizational bins for the classroom.

Our sincere thanks to our generous local community in support of our DCSD teachers!

Honoring Outstanding Women Athletes

On Friday, February 14, 45 DCSD middle school and 45 high school outstanding female athletes were honored at the annual Girls & Women in Sports Luncheon at DCSD's Legacy Campus in Lone Tree. Presented by the Athletics & Activities Department and The Foundation for Douglas County Schools, and in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, this inspiring event showcases sports achievements, the positive influence of sports participation, and the continuing effort for equality and access for women in sports.

Please welcome the Foundation’s new Event Manager, Rachel Hencmann

As the Event Manager for the Foundation of Douglas County Schools, Rachel brings over a decade of experience in events, hospitality, and program management. With a degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management from Johnson & Wales University Denver, she has been passionate about event planning since the age of 14. Her love for creating meaningful experiences drives her work, ensuring every event leaves a lasting impact.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Rachel moved to Denver for college and never looked back. Now settled in Parker, Colorado, with her husband and two sons, she continues to channel her expertise into events that inspire and bring people together. Whether orchestrating large-scale fundraisers or intimate community gatherings, she is dedicated to making every moment special.

Fun Fact: Rachel traveled to four European Countries in three weeks when she was 14 years old: France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. “It was a thrilling and educating experience at an impressionable age.”
