Spotlight on the Global Living Wage Coalition

Ten years on: the Global Living Wage Coalition’s role in shaping the living wage movement

As a founding member of the Global Living Wage Coalition, SAI joins the other Coalition members in celebrating a decade of work helping move the idea of living wages from niche to norm. This progress can be seen in recent developments like the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) recent milestone agreement on living wages, which raises hopes for millions of workers around the world that decent wages could become a reality. It can also be seen in the discussions from leading companies across sectors, who are either contemplating or committing to pay living wages to workers in their supply chains.

As an advocate for living wages since 1997, SAI joins the other Global Living Wage Coalition (GLWC) members in welcoming the ILO’s agreement on living wages. This is a milestone in the movement to advance wages and livelihoods for all workers and we look forward to even greater collaboration and momentum around this work.

MY Voice child labor case manager training kicks off with Humana Child Aid Society

As part of the project's effort to implement a private sector-driven Child Labor Remediation Hub, MY Voice is working closely with local solution providers who are already providing education and supportive services to children to build a network of remediation service providers and case managers.

SAI hosts IRIS Ethical Recruitment Auditor Training

This month, SAI hosted its first delivery of the IRIS Ethical Recruitment Auditor Training in collaboration with International Organisation for Migration (IOM). Through rich discussions and classroom activities, participants deepened their understanding of international labor migration, ethical recruitment, and the International Recruitment Integrity Standard (IRIS) Principles and Certification.

Congratulations to all the participants who completed the training with us in New York! Thanks for being part of IRIS's transformative mission to make the international recruitment industry fair for workers, recruiters, and employers.
