Schilling and Resilience Drop
|
Both stores received a drop of popular Schilling beers and a small amount from their American Ale Project, Resilience.
I am excited to announce we will be hosting Schilling for a free in-store tasting on Friday 6/28 at our Portland location!
Here's What We Have:
Herkules Kölsch: Crafted from Cologne-malted barley, German noble hops, and a traditional Cologne ale yeast. Refreshing and malty with background notes reminiscent of white wine, it finishes dry and lager-like.
The Grafton Metro Lager: Schilling’s take on the classic American lager. Golden, crisp, and refreshingly dry on the finish, this is all-day artisan beer for summer in the mountains.
Resilience Bondcliff DIPA: Named for the local mountain, Bondcliff DIPA pours a pale yellow with a soft white head. The aroma is bursting with apricots, tangerine pith, and pineapple. A mellow bitterness gives way to mango and creamsicle. Finishes bright with a soft mouthfeel.
Bella Vita Italian-Style Pils: Their toast to 10 Years of Vacationland Distributors. Floor Malted Pilsner malt from Blue Ox, German Diamant and Saphir hops. Slightly hazy straw yellow, light herbal and lemon peel notes on the nose. Light bodied and effervescent.

Modestman Kraftwerk Kölsch

|
|
Modestman Gravitas Pilsner
|
|
|
|
Both stores received new beers and a returning favorite from Keene, NH/Sopo, ME brewery, Modestman. They've quickly become one of our most asked about breweries, and for good reason.
Here's What We Have:
The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World DIPA: A single hop Double IPA using just Citra. Fruity and earthy with a light, bready maltiness. A hazy yellow color with a rich mouthfeel. Tasting notes of grapefruit, citrus, peach and passion fruit. A fantastically smooth beer to drink.
Kraftwerk Kölsch: A traditional German-style Kölsch with a subtle balance between the malt and noble hops. This unique yeast strain gives the qualities of a pilsner and ferments like an ale leading to that crisp, light-bodied and delicate floral finish.
Labor Days German Style Pilsner: generously hopped with Hallertau and Spalt- Subtle flavors of lemon, honey, with floral undertones. Dry and light mouthfeel, finishes crisp, with a balanced bitterness.
Gravitas Czech Style Pilsner: pale gold in color, and brilliantly clear, brewed with Czech Saaz hops. Aromatic, spicy, and malt forward, with a biscuity crisp finish.
Juicy DIPA: Double IPA with Galaxy, Bru-1, Citra, El Dorado, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops. Light and airy, drinks like a lesser ABV IPA, rather than a Double. Candied tropical fruits, ripe grapefruit, zesty lime, tangerine pith, finishing with a pillowy mouthfeel.

The Fool & The Fortitude IPAs: Two different beers in one 4 pack. Fortitude is a 6.5% West Coast IPA with notes of red berries, subtle dankness and grapefruit. The Fool is a 6.5% East Coast IPA with overripe passionfruit, orange peel and some red berry character and herbal notes.
Antheia's Ascent DIPA: A DIPA that leans heavily on malted and flaked oats to create a smooth, creamy body to support a massive dry hop Citra and Bru-1 LupoMAX hops, and a touch of Citra Spectrum. Pours sunflower yellow with a creamy white lacing, aromas of strawberry, pine sap, kiwi, and ripe mango. The taste begins with notes of lime and orange sorbet and ends with a gentle bitterness.
Into The Kaleidoscope DIPA: From the brewery: "Into the Kaleidoscope is dry hopped with insane amounts of Citra and Amarillo and opens with aromas of pears, peaches, jolly ranchers, and mixed citrus notes that are highlighted with an undercurrent of dank hoppiness.
