Dear Families,

The prayer I've been using for this Eastertide season (see below) reminds us resurrection is a gift to be enjoyed and shared. I am enjoying it by intentionally seeking God's presence in my day-to-day experiences.

I'm trying to share it as well, always working to love others well. I'm especially enjoying sharing it while working along side the 5th/6th graders as they launch their service project.

Watching them share resurrection is always an opportunity to experience God's presence. So, I'm caught in this lovely never ending circle of sharing leading to presence leading to sharing-and so it goes on and on and on.

I hope you are still experiencing and sharing the joy of Easter.

Much Love,

-Erin

Resurrection is a gift to be enjoyed, and also to be shared. God, help us share the gift of resurrection by loving one another well, caring for one another, and offering gifts of resurrection.

Amen.

This Week in Sunday School

In anticipation of Ascension Day next Thursday, our Godly Play class will experience the Ascension story (bubbles may be involved as we explore this Mystery). Our Holy Troublemakers are writing supply lists and checking them twice as we move closer to our sandwich making project on June 1st. Don't miss next week when we celebrate Mother's Day with the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus in our Godly Play class, while our Holy Troublemakers continue working on their Holy Subs Project.

Gift, Invitation, and Gratitude

May 19, 11:15am

All are welcome as we mark the 10-year anniversary of St. Andrew’s shared ministry with Mother Brenda. Thanks to a generous donor, we'll enjoy a live band, taco treats, a bouncy house, cake and more! If you'd like to make a contribution to the artwork we've purchased, as a small token of our gratitude, click here and choose "Shared Ministry Gift" (any funds collected in excess of the gift's cost will benefit our Pastoral Needs Fund).

We need supplies to provide lunches for the hundreds of migrants who are waiting at San Diego airport daily with little to no food. Please sign up here to donate one or more items, and bring the donation to the church by May 26th. You may drop donations off during regular office hours Mon-Fri 10 am-4pm or on Sundays from 8am-11am.

If you can't help with supplies or sandwich making, feel free to make a financial contribution before June 1st using this link and selecting "Subs from Above" from the drop down menu. Please contact me if you have any questions. THANK YOU
