May's Nevada Lawyer Prioritizes Mental Health

Mental health and wellness in the legal profession has recently taken a renewed focus, and May is Mental Health Awareness month. The May issue of Nevada Lawyer magazine gives an overview of the resources available to help legal professionals who may be dealing with the stress of their jobs in an unhealthy way.

In this issue, one feature reviews all the mental health resources offered by the State Bar of Nevada, and another article explores substance abuse in the legal profession. A client-focused article analyzes steps Nevada can take to decriminalize mental illness. The May issue also includes a CLE article about mental health support available through the Americans with Disabilities Act.

As always, the magazine includes regular features such as the president’s message, news and notes, the Nevada Trailblazer profile, and the bar counsel report. Be sure to check out the Nevada Lawyer archives for a lengthy list of back issues.
