Preparing for Performance

Happy April!

We have made it through Spring Break season (we always have quite a few absences from class because we have so many dancers who come from so many different schools/districts)! Now it is time for us to buckle down and prepare for our performance in June!

It sounds like June is a long way off, but if you look at the calendar we only have 5 weeks (5 classes) left! And only 4 for Saturday, Sunday and Monday classes! Seeing that number, you can tell why we have really been stressing the importance of constant attendance in class. We are preparing for the stage. Dancers need to be present to get used to the choreography, the spacing, who they are next to, etc. AND they should be practicing at home as much as they can! We are asking that attendance in dance class become your number one priority for the next few weeks (with the exception of graded, school events, and/or if your dancer is sick. Those things are excused - but please do send me an email so I can let the instructor know).

Summer Registration is OPEN!!

When it is cold outside (sort of) it is the perfect time to think about summer!

We have your dance card covered, with our normal offerings of Creative Dance, Fundamental A and B and Level IA and IB! You should talk to your dance instructor to see if they should register for the next level up, or would benefit for one more year at the level they are currently enrolled. For dancers in IIA-V, we have drop-in classes so you can mix an match your classes to whatever you are feeling like taking. You can check out the schedule HERE!

Picture Day is Sunday, May 19!

During the March family visitation week, we handed out the picture day schedule. All classes get their pictures taken on Sunday, May 19! Here is a link to the schedule. It is also in your class resources in Jackrabbit.

You don't have to purchase pictures, but we would like everyone present so we have wonderful pictures of all of our dancers!

There are no Sunday classes that day. Many classes have already had a make up for the class that will be missed. Please ask Ann about make up classes for picture day.

Come to the Rep Show! Support our dancers!

This year our level IV/V dancers have been working hard in our new Rep class on Thursday evenings. They have been working with different local choreographers, learning work for The Rep Show, which is happening May 10-12 at the Tek Box Theater in downtown Minneapolis! We would love for you to join us and see what they have been working on!
