Vintage Scouting Memorabilia On eBay
Well my rookie Whatnot show was....a success! I define that as people showed up and I didn't have any technical glitches that knocked me off stride. I typically had a dozen people or more in the stream and by the end over 200 had popped in and out. There were 1/2 dozen buyers and I think they all got good deals. So now I need your feedback!?
I have described this Whatnot idea as a summer experiment. So in order to continue the run I need to schedule my next show ASAP. It was suggested to me today that I should try a show on Sunday as a compromise for working people and those otherwise busy at 4 PM Eastern. So here is a question and you are welcome to email me back if you like. Would you prefer my next show be at 8 PM Eastern this coming Sunday or at 4 PM Eastern on Monday?
For my next show I believe I am going to try and do the honest unboxing/auction idea that appealed to me when this idea was first germinating. In other words I film a live unboxing in the show and instantly offer the items for sale. So their is a surprise factor plus the gamification of the unboxing. I can pick maybe 3 collections that have some diversity of location and era to make things interesting.
I sold items to several people I consider friends and so that was great to get the support from them. Moving forward I hope this experiment can help me decide if these shows are a way I can fulfill my mission to get these small 1 box collections recycled back into the hobby. In case you want to go back and see the Whatnot show it's also on my Facebook Page.
