We're Bringing Israel to Ovation!

Volunteer to Join the Fun!

We are planning a major celebration for Yom HaAtzmaut at Ovation this year on Yom HaAtzmaut, Tuesday, May 14. This year we have organized a simulated trip to Israel (called Passport to Israel). We will need many volunteers to help with activities, including, people to help with specific activities and a few tour guides to walk people through the stages of the “trip”.(The Mitchell Airport in the Jewish Home lobby, a flight in part of Peck, Ben Gurion Airport in the other part, an Ulpan in the Tribute Room, visit to Jerusalem in part of Rubenstein, travel to Tel Aviv & Haifa in the other part of Rubenstein and a kibbutz visit in the Chai Point Lobby.) If you’d be available the whole time – great, but we can still use your help if you are only available part of that time. Contact Rabbi Adams (sadams@ovation.org) or Stephanie Gramza (sgramza@ovation.org) to let them know your availability.

Volunteer Application

Synagogue Curator

Our pastoral services team is looking for a Synagogue Curator to help organize the Synagogue, specifically after services. This individual will ideally come weekly at a date and time that works for them (preferably Sunday or Monday) to assist Rabbi Emmer with maintaining our collection of written materials and Judaica. All faiths are welcome for this role.

Contact Tanya at tmazor@ovation.org to sign up.

In Need of Someone to Volunteer Regularly with Adult Day Services

Looking for a fun way to learn about brain health and help others? Consider volunteering a few hours of your time weekly in the Ovation ReCharge Interactive Brain Health class on Mondays or Wednesdays from 10 a.m-2 p.m. (or part of that time frame.) Come and experience this fun class so you know what it is all about before deciding if it is a good volunteer opportunity for you. ReCharge is interesting and relevant for all ages and the information you glean may be helpful to someone you love. Contact Dawn Adler for more information at dadler@ovation.org or 414-277-8838.

Are You a Russian Speaker?

The Jewish Home is looking for Russian speaking volunteers to build connections with our Russian speaking residents.

These volunteers are encouraged to participate in activities and/or friendly visits!

If you are interested or know someone who may be, please contact Kimberly Rosenau at krosenau@ovation.org and Tanya Mazor at tmazor@ovation.org!
