a 248 year old?

A: With Fireworks!

We start lighting America's birthday candles on Friday, June 28th and they won't stop until July 6th! And when I say birthday candles, I mean fireworks! Almost a full week of night sky celebration honoring our country's independence awaits. I can already smell the flame-grilled fare, taste the ice cold lemonade and hear the squeals of children as we watch the "pomp and parade" that John Adams [2nd President of the United States] believed would last forever.

I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding generations, as the great anniversary festival… It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more.” - Adams

Well said, Adams. We too agree that this 'great anniversary festival' should be met with a heightened exuberance and sense of pride for our country and it's birthday! So wave those flags. Light those sparklers. And enjoy this week of birthday fun!
