BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces the following scheduled construction activities and anticipated traffic impacts. As always, these anticipated impacts are weather permitting and subject to potential changes.
Weekday Daytime Schedule (8:00AM - 2:00PM)
- Tuesday, 6/25 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
Weekend Daytime Schedule (7:ooAM - 5:00PM)
- Saturday, 6/22 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
- Sunday, 6/23 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
Weekend and Weekday Evening Schedule (7:30PM-5:30AM)
- Saturday, 6/22 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
- Sunday, 6/23 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
- Sunday, 6/23 – Engineers Rd. eastbound right lane closed at LA 23 intersection
- Monday, 6/24 -Engineers Rd. eastbound right lane closed at LA 23 intersection
- Tuesday, 6/25 - 2-way traffic on old/lift Belle Chasse Bridge
Important reminders for 6/25 evening:
- Traffic shift will place southbound LA 23 traffic onto the newly constructed lanes of the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
- Engineers Rd. right turn onto LA 23 will reopen.
