WHAT:

Crews are scheduled to perform electrical work along MacArthur Boulevard that will require closing the outside lane on eastbound and westbound MacArthur under the freeway. One lane in each direction will remain open.

WHEN:

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, beginning as early as Monday, July 29 through Friday, Aug. 2.

This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

Contractors are expected to continue demolishing the southern end of the Lane Channel, north of MacArthur Boulevard. Businesses adjacent to this work may be impacted by noise and vibration.

Demolition activity will continue intermittently, weekdays from 

6 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of this month.

The Santa Ana Police Department is hosting National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cabrillo Park!

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
