President's Message

What a month! It’s one of my favorite times of the year in Impact100 Greater Chesapeake, it’s the BIG REVEAL!

For those who were able to join us in person, it was so incredible to spend this time and celebrate our number with you. If you dialed into the Facebook Live or watched the recording later, I hope you had your own mini-celebration, because $64,000 will be our 2024 grant amount and it will be transformational to a local nonprofit! We could not do this without you, and on behalf of myself and the Board of Directors - THANK YOU for committing to changing our community through these transformative grants!

A few quick reminders:

1. Our grant cycle closes on June 30th at 11:59pm. If you know of a local nonprofit who is looking for funding for a transformational project, please send them our way.

2. We will need your help to review our grant applications, so please consider signing up for a focus area committee (here).

3. We are already recruiting for our 2025 grant cycle. We would love to have some neighborhood social events this summer where can share about all the amazing work our organization has accomplished. If you are interested in hosting a social event, please reach out to info@impact100greaterchesapeake.org.

Thank you for your continued support of Impact100 Greater Chesapeake, we could not do this without you.

Cheers,

Michele

Volunteer for a Focus Area Committee!

As the nonprofit organizations are preparing to submit their grant applications, we are also gearing up for grant review! Look below for the sign-up link to join a Focus Area Committee to help review the grant applications.

Signing up for a Focus Area Committee requires you to attend a Grant Review 101 Workshop, review grant applications within the focus area you are assigned, conduct site visits, and meet with fellow committee members about the grant applications.

Many volunteers say that being a part of a Focus Area Committee is fulfilling and exciting, as these volunteers get to experience firsthand, the amazing work in our community. Focus Area Committee volunteer work occurs from July to September.
