Dear Friends,

When you look at all the challenges our communities are facing, you might experience feelings of being overwhelmed, wondering what can you do to solve big issues like housing insecurity and homelessness? You

might even think what can one person do?

Well, we at Mission at the Eastward think YOU can do a lot, because we know even the smallest act of caring has the potential to grow and change lives in a BIG way!

This spring, with your donations, we can serve at least 50 households and over 100 community members with repairs and transitional housing and partner with the 334 volunteers already committed to coming to Maine, and there is always room at the inn for more!

Not to mention, we’re pleased to have hired a new Operations Manager and welcome back our Assistant Operations Manager and are working with a new bookkeeping service, which all together will help us to be more effective with our outreach to help our neighbors in need.

We have seen the transformational power of your generosity every day in our work. Time after time homeowners have told us, “I could not have stayed in my home without your help,” or “I would have lost my grandchildren living with me if you hadn’t come to the rescue and fixed my home.” Because of your giving in the past, we’ve been able to cast many seeds of hope in the ground for 2024 that will flourish with your continued support.

This spring, we’re asking you to give to help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 by June 15th to help us launch this year’s housing repair season, fund the ongoing transitional housing program at the McCleary House, and complete our first tiny home build-out! Please know that all gifts make a difference!
