TIME MANAGEMENT: WHAT IT MEANS FOR CITY CLERKS

In eScribe’s recent 2024 State of the Clerk’s Office survey, we asked city clerks across North America about the top challenges they face in their day-to-day work. Coming in at No. 1 was “time management” – which can mean many different things. For city clerks, though, “time management” usually means the challenge of trying to maximize efficiency with limited resources. With the many competing priorities the city clerk’s office faces each day, the clerk must determine how to best utilize a small staff to meet the demands of several departments across local government, all while managing public meetings. And without tools like meeting management software, this is a monumental feat!
