We've completed several updates to the Palace suite of products over the last few months, including: | |
- Push notifications on iOS and Android
- Support for FOLIO ILS using SIP2 authentication
- Search within EPUBs on iOS and Android
- Added audiobook duration to the book details page (when available)
- Changed the forward and rewind buttons from 15 to 30 seconds
- Added collection item count by format to the Collection Manager dashboard

We have also created an all new set of training videos on using the Palace Collection Manager, using the Palace app on iOS and Android, purchasing content from the Palace Marketplace and BiblioBoard, and creating a Virtual Library Card. Videos are available in English and Spanish. | |
Palace Marketplace Exclusives
Did you know that the Palace Marketplace is a nonprofit marketplace? As a result, we advocate for fairer licensing terms and can provide unique offerings.
Our collections include titles from Amazon Publishing, Audible Studios (both currently only available on the Palace Marketplace), the “Big 5” and other major publishers, and independent publishers, including BiblioBoard and the Indie Author Project and IAP Select titles.
The Palace Marketplace has more than 100 publishers who have extended various favorable lending models, helping libraries to maximize their ebook and audiobook budgets and offer a broader variety of content to their patrons.

The Unlimited Listens catalog provides a diverse offering of simultaneous use audiobooks including a large Christian catalog, clean fiction, westerns, children's books and inspirational nonfiction (self-help, business, biography, etc.). The collection includes titles from top publishers like Tyndale House Publishers, David C. Cook, Harvest House, The Good Book Company, Crossway and others. This collection of over 3,500 popular audio titles — with 500 new releases per year — is available to Palace Project libraries as an annual subscription. This quarter brings two heritage celebrations — Black History Month and Women’s History Month. Lyrasis and Blackstone Publishing are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership that aims to deliver top-tier audiobooks to library patrons. This collaboration introduces Blackstone Unlimited, which boasts the largest always-available collection of adult and children's downloadable audiobooks, offering over 6,600 titles by acclaimed authors such as Karin Slaughter, M.C. Beaton, Jeneva Rose, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Marshall Karp and James Clavell. Palace partner libraries can easily subscribe to this collection and have it automatically added to their catalog.
With audiobook usage outpacing many public library budgets, this partnership between Lyrasis and Blackstone Publishing intends to make more audiobooks available to public library patrons at an affordable cost for public libraries.
