Contec Recognized as SCRA Industry Partnership Fund Contributor

SCRA would like to recognize Contec as a a multi-year SCRA Industry Partnership Fund contributor. The IPF was established to enable SCRA and its investment affiliate SC Launch Inc., to provide coaching, grants, investments, and other types of support for technology startups and for academic research and development.

Contributions made by individuals and organizations provide a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. In addition, depending on an organizations tax status, an IPF contribution may be deductible as an ordinary business expense. Learn more about the IPF.

SCRA Participates in MUSC’s STEM-CREW Pitch Session

The SCRA Team attended the Medical University of South Carolina’s STEM-CREW Pitch Session last week. STEM-CREW is an exciting new program designed to increase the number of female inventors and entrepreneurs in South Carolina and across the southeast. CREW participants provided elevator pitches of their projects to judges for feedback and evaluation.

MUSC and the College of Charleston were awarded an Innovative Program to Enhance Research Training grant from the National Institutes of General Medical Studies to establish the Coaching and Resources for Entrepreneurial Women program. Learn more about the program.

Amanda Clark, CEO and Founder of PulManage, Inc, an SCRA Member Company, was recently featured in the Who's On The Move’s Entrepreneur Minute. PulManage became an SCRA Member Company in November of 2021 and Amanda was a panelist at SCRA's Women of Innovation in Life Sciences Virtual Showcase in March.
