Two complementary businesses in downtown Manitowoc merged to create Real Aesthetics & Wellness Spa at 914 Suite C, South 8th Street in Manitowoc, offering holistic wellness and aesthetic services.
The new venture combines Becky Goessl’s former Impact Wellness Spa business, Dr. Leslie Schweitzer’s Lush Aesthetic Bar, and Hello Hydration, an IV hydration bar the duo founded together. The partners also operate a Sheboygan location under the Real Aesthetics & Wellness Spa brand.
Goessl and Schweitzer, both mothers and entrepreneurs, met at a women’s business group and quickly realized their services were complementary. They frequently referred clients to each other, leading to the creation of Hello Hydration in 2023. By early 2025, they officially merged under the Real Aesthetics & Wellness Spa name, chosen to reflect their authentic approach to client care.
“We want people to walk in and feel comfortable and welcomed,” Goessl said. “RAW, our acronym, represents who we are—real people providing real results.”
Initially operating separate businesses, Goessl launched Impact Wellness Spa in August 2022, while Schweitzer opened Lush just two months later. They later expanded with Impact Wellness & Aesthetics in Sheboygan, but realized multiple brand names caused confusion. Merging into one entity simplified operations and strengthened their identity.
“It just made sense,” Goessl said. “Our services and approaches align, and even our personalities complement each other.”
The transition involved relocating Goessl’s team into Schweitzer’s space, optimizing rooms to accommodate services. While the location is currently tight, they plan to expand when they find the perfect space.
Real Aesthetics & Wellness Spa offers an evolving array of services, with medical weight loss, cryoskin slimming, and laser treatments among the most popular. The addition of the HOCATT Infrared Ozone Sauna distinguishes them, offering multi-layered detox and wellness benefits. Other in-demand services include Botox, dermal fillers, DiamondGlow facials, and hair restoration.
Schweitzer and Goessl continuously research and integrate new technologies, like The Glimpse skin analysis device, which provides precise skincare recommendations. Training remains a priority, with Goessl pursuing nursing credentials and Schweitzer, a nurse anesthesiologist (CRNA), ensuring advanced certifications for their team.
Their clientele, primarily women aged 35-65, also includes men seeking wellness treatments. Recognizing this, they aim to expand male-focused services, particularly for sports recovery and overall well-being.
With a diverse team spanning multiple generations, Real Aesthetics & Wellness Spa prides itself on accessibility and authenticity. Offering lab testing at cost, they ensure clients receive personalized care based on their health needs.
As the business grows, Goessl and Schweitzer remain committed to providing cutting-edge, high-quality services in a welcoming environment. With record-breaking client visits, they’re excited to expand their impact and continue their journey together.
