JANUARY HEALTH SPOTLIGHT
National Blood Donor Month
| |
Did you know every 2 seconds someone in America needs a blood transfusion? The month of January is designated as National Blood Donor Month in the United States. Due to holiday celebrations, inclement weather, and cold and flu season, the winter months are often a time of reduced donations and an increased risk for blood shortages.
This month is designated to celebrate blood donors during this critical time and reminds people of the importance of donating blood.
How can you help ensure this life-saving resource is readily available to patients?
-
Donate blood, find a location to give blood, and schedule your life-saving donation appointment today.
-
Promote National Blood Donor Month using the promotional handbook designed by ADRP that has everything you need to take part in this month and recognize the blood donors who are making a difference in your community.
