Sunday

“This We Believe: The Apostles’ Creed," May 5

Message By: Rev. Marisa Gertz

We're all searching. Sometimes the search is as easy as a click of a button. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Some of the foundational answers can be found in the Apostles’ Creed. Come join us on Sundays to learn more.

Worship with us in-person on Sundays at 8:00 AM Traditional, Chapel | 9:30 AM Modern & 11:00 AM Traditional, Worship Center | or worship with us online anytime.

Mission Focus

This week’s Mission Focus is on Kairos Prison Ministry. Their mission is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities. Kairos volunteers visit the prison monthly for prayer and share groups and an annual weekend retreat.

Missions

2023 was a record-breaking year for Zoe Empowers! Nearly 15,000 more orphaned and vulnerable youth are now on their journey from life-threatening poverty to sustainable self-sufficiency. Trinity’s support, specifically, has transformed the lives of over 1,200 youth since 2017, and we are excited to announce that because of your donations we will be able to sponsor another empowerment group! Check out the 2023 annual report to learn more about the work being done by Zoe Empowers (Trinity is featured on page 46!).

If you'd like to help support Trinity's Zoe groups, click here. If you're interested in going on a future trip with Trinity to visit our groups, contact Kelly Ping (kping@trinitygnv.org).

We have a new Blue Bin recipient! This month we will be collecting non-perishable food for Gainesville Community Ministries. Please bring your items and place them in the blue bins in the Narthex or Education Building Lobby. Thank you for your generosity.

May is National Foster Care Month and Partnership for Strong Families has a critical need for more foster parents. Would you be willing to say yes to one child? There are children and teens who need a loving and temporary home during one of the most difficult times of their life. These children need the opportunity to feel your love and attachment. To learn more about foster care and the needs in our community, attend the virtual info session on May 28 at 7:00 pm or email (HopePartner@pfsf.org).
