May is Member Appreciation Month!

Hi Everyone,

Spring has sprung and the driving season is off to a fantastic start! Our April Spring Seminar was a hit but hold on tight to your reins because our annual Member Appreciation dinner is revving up to be an electrifying event that will fuel our excitement for all the thrilling activities CCDS has in store for this season.

Our May dinner will be a buffet hosted by Harvey and Mary Waller. Friends and family are welcome. That means we need an accurate headcount so that we can be sure to order plenty of food for everyone. Jack will return again this year providing a fun evening of music while we socialize. Please RSVP to Maureen by May 10th 413-822-1028 maureengamelli2@gmail.com

Our Spring Seminar was well attended with 40 attendees. The panel of guest speakers included Jeff Morse, Bruce Jones, Sarah Bates, and Sem Gounewald.

The morning session followed an engaging Q&A format, where our panelists shared valuable insights on show-themed topics, sparking insightful discussions and questions from the enthusiastic attendees. It was a morning filled with knowledge-sharing and meaningful interactions, setting a positive tone for the rest of the event.

Sem enlightened us with the scoop on the new D'Attelage de Tradition division to be hosted for the first time at our August driving show. This division has generated immense interest among our members. Our expert panelist Sem's clarification on the rules and points system has provided much-needed clarity, alleviating any confusion we previously had. This innovative event caters to drivers of all skill levels, allowing participants to compete in each of the three phases based on their individual driving capabilities. Points are earned for successfully completing each phase's criteria, while penalties are incurred for any errors made. This inclusive and engaging event promises to be a rewarding experience for all participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition within our driving community.

During the afternoon portion, we enjoyed watching Sarah perform a live horse and vehicle demo of a few of the personal challenges that will be part of the D'Attelage competition.

Hope to see you all at the dinner!!!!

Maureen
