Our Donors Made a Big Impact in 2023!

We are pleased to share our 2023 Annual Report

highlighting our achievements and the continued dedication of our incredible community of supporters.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all who have allowed us to impact the lives of students across our 11-county service area.

We couldn’t have done this without you!

Reading, Writing and a Wardrobe Success

We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to support us at our Reading, Writing and a Wardrobe luncheon. Our wonderful guests gave $41,700 (and counting), which includes the generous $17,000 match from the Upswing Foundation.

We had a particularly good looking crowd this year, so be sure to check out our photos from the event.

Special thanks to our speakers Susan Gershwin, Dr. Liz Markowitz and the Thursday Volunteer Crew (pictured above) for their inspiring presentations!

Sharing the Love

Marie Proto is the owner of Once Upon a Child in Littleton. In March, she brought a carload of donations, then returned in April with 40 bins full of spring and summer clothing. We were blown away by these amazing contributions and are so happy to have her as a partner!

Our board chair Mary Valenti (right in photo) recently came in to volunteer with her friend Kirsten Rifkin. They hung up a huge mountain of clothing, which really helped us restock the racks after a busy day.

We were honored to host a great group of teen volunteers from the Denver chapter of Jack & Jill of America. This hard-working crew helped reorganize the store and did lots of hanging, sorting and cleaning. We already can't wait until their next visit!

Kudos to the University of Denver Athletic Department for donating boxes and boxes of brand new gear, shoes and clothing. New items are always especially popular with our shoppers, and these great styles have flown out the door!

The students of Slavens School selected Clothes To Kids as one of their causes for their annual day of service. Students collectively served more than 100 hours both processing donations and folding colorful origami butterflies to beautify the store. We are thankful to receive the support from this industrious community!

Our nonprofit partner Undies for Everyone just made a huge delivery of new underwear. 20,160 pairs to be exact! This is our third year of partnering with them and we are so grateful for their incredible support.

We are so appreciative of our friends Heather Hobson and Shannon Johnson for organizing another successful drive at Kent Denver School. The Sun Devils donated 131 bags of clothing and shoes, along with 30 packages of new socks and underwear. Special thanks to the volunteers who came out to sort, organize and deliver all the donations.

Recently our volunteer coordinator Eileen Robinson (right in photo) stopped by Clothes Mentor in Lone Tree. Eileen was there to shop, but got to talking with the owner Carrie Barrett Lohr about our mission. Carrie immediately said she had some items to donate and would have more in the future. Thank you, Carrie!

We hosted an absolutely delightful volunteer group from Sam’s Club #4777 in the Central Park neighborhood. Club Manager Leo Lopez (wearing the red shirt) and his team were so kind, hard-working and super productive. Plus, they presented us with a generous $2,500 grant. We are so grateful for your support!
