THE FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

April 28, 2024

Dear George,

We have enjoyed much art in our lives with Nicholas Boulaine lecturing in a most fascinating manner April 18 on the development of modern art from Manet to Kandinsky. Quite well attended, and on a Thursday morning!

And then on Sunday April 21 we enjoyed a presentation by David Delany, whose work is at Gallery Nigromante through May 15.

Bruce Stuart reminded Patti Morgan that Claudia had cloth, thread, and sewing accessories of all sorts. He is in the process of cleaning out Claudia's things and would like to donate these items to the meditative sewing group at St. Pauls and to Jenny. Everything is neatly labeled and ready to go. He just needs to know where to take things.

Also Christine Eyre has many little jobs that would help the Altar

guild, such a little cloth bags to put the cross covers in so that they can be labeled and easily stored and big napkins cut into smaller ones. Perhaps the sewing group can help.

Monday April 22 sees the beginning of Pesach for our Jewish friends so do offer blessings on observations.

A Blessed Eastertide

Fundraiser for Karino Yañez Rios (Chemo and radiation treatment)

As we look around us, we see our friends, our fellow parishioners, and we realize that we are a family brought together by faith and love. As a family, we pray for one another and we check up on one another.

One way to ensure that the health and safety of each of us is intact, is to have a partner who will call us, not to talk, but to check on us. A twenty second call could save your life or that of your partner. If you or your partner fail to answer the phone, a neighbor or friend with a key will be sent to check on you.

So what do you need to do to start this process? 1. EMAIL pattijain@gmail.com with your name and phone number.

2. Make a copy of your key and ask a friend or neighbor if he/she can be called on to check on you in an emergency. 3. Wait to hear from me. I hope that I can organize a partner for you in less than a week.

der inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

THE DANI FUND

The Dani fund was established 13 years ago, when Dani was first born and brought to St. Paul’s by Papa Daniel. The fund was used to support Dani with diapers, formula and whatever he needed. As a toddler, he went to live with Claudia and Bruce Stuart, though they were unable to adopt him until recently. The Dani fund has been used to help with Dani’s schooling and medical needs. This is still the case, especially in light of Claudia’s death 6 months ago and Bruce’s cancer diagnosis. Dani attends Bereshit Christian School. The fund pays his tuition, textbooks and uniform costs, as well as his medical needs. He has seen a therapist for grief, which the fund also pays for. This has been a rough year for Dani and the fund helps provide him with the stability of a school he likes and therapy to help deal with the changes occurring in his life.

If you have been paying into the Dani fund, either as a one time gift or monthly, thank you. If you are interested in helping, please contact Bonnie Eriksmoen at deriksmoen@aol.com. Your donation is appreciated.
