END-OF-YEAR CHURCH PICNIC!
Come one, come all to the end-of-the-year church picnic! We hope you will make plans. to join us on Wednesday, May 29, at 5:30pm. We will be gathering at Pullen Park (shelter #4) to enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs, and trimmings, prepared by Troy Dye. Bring your own chair or blanket, and everything else will be provided! The Social Committee is planning a different type of scavenger hunt this year and we want everyone attending to participate. It will involve our talking and learning more about each other! Prizes will be awarded.
If you are not on the Wednesday night supper list, you may reserve your spot on the church website or by calling the office. The prices for the meal are the same: ages: 0-3: free, ages 4-12: $4, adults (over 12): $8, and family cap (over 3 people): $24. Please prepay via PayPal or the church kiosk. We cannot collect money that night at the park.
Let’s end the Wednesday night program year with a BIG BANG! See you on Wednesday, May 29 for food, fellowship, and fun. —The Social Committee

CHILDREN'S MISSION CELEBRATION
Hats off to our Mission Friends, RAs, and GAs for capturing their year of missions education in such a fun way last week! Our fifth graders, Remi Phillips and Eleanor Gardner, took our FBC audience with them as they traveled the world and uncovered inspiring stories of CBF missionaries.
Ms. Nancy Phillips was honored for her 27 years of serving as Children’s Mission Director, and we recognized our wonderful classroom leaders: Jennifer Bissette and Lacey Pegram, who teach our Mission Friends; Hope Phillips, Nancy Phillips, and Dawn Wade, who teach our GAs; and Daniel Rorhbaugh and Wade Sasser, who teach our RAs. Bravo to one and all! Can’t wait for next year!

CLOTHING MINISTRY URGENT NEEDS
We are continuing to see new guests each week in the clothing ministry in record numbers. We are currently in need of spring and summer clothing for children and men. We especially need children’s clothes from sizes 2T up to youth large. For men, we especially need shorts and casual short-sleeve shirts in all sizes.
Please place items in closed bags and drop them in the clothing bin at the back door. Labeling bags by department and size is especially appreciated for quick processing. Thanks for all you do to support our community ministry!

CALL FOR PHOTOS
Calling all churchwide retreat participants! If you took any photos or videos from the weekend that you're willing to share we'd love for you to upload them to this Google Photos album. It will let us all better relive the great weekend we had, and even give us a chance to share some glimpse into the weekend for those who couldn't make it!

WILL WE SEE YOU IN GREENSBORO THIS JUNE?
General Assembly is an important event in the life of CBF, and this year it’s in Greensboro, June 19–21. This summer, we will re:imagine as we live out our faith through our unique Baptist identity. Together, we’ll consider transformation through imagination — our own and that of the Holy Spirit moving through us as a community. With the idea of re:, we’re exploring the idea of “regarding imagination” as well as the transforming quality of re-imagining — revising, reinvigorating, reenergizing and renewing. Click here to register.

A NOTE OF THANKS
Wow! Five years have passed since I came to work here! I can’t get over how quickly that time has flown by. I’ve made such wonderful friends and have enjoyed every day I’ve worked here. The staff and parishioners are all so kind-hearted, and I’ve always been impressed by not only the outreach to the community, but also the in-reach with each other. I’m so happy and very blessed to be a part of this congregation, and as if your love weren’t enough, I even received a wonderful gift in celebration and appreciation of my five-year anniversary! I want to thank you all for it and for the joy this church represents and shares with others.
Warmly, and with great thanks,
Jennie Herrick
