Hello STARRS,

What a week!

Everyone was closely watching Pete Hegseth's confirmation hearing on Tuesday, we had a great STARRS Town Hall on Wednesday, and on Friday we held our quarterly STARRS Board of Directors and Advisors meeting. Plus this week we have been dealing with a cache/server problem on the website that is preventing the uploading of images and refreshing of the site so you see the latest content, which is why we have to skip this week's news recap until it's fixed.

But the biggest news came Friday evening when President Trump announced that STARRS Executive Vice President Matthew Lohmeier will be the next Under Secretary of Air Force!

On X, Matt said, "Thank you, Mr. President! I’m grateful for your trust, and am very much looking forward to continuing my service to our great men and women in uniform. To all men and women with a desire to serve your country in uniform, come join us now! We want the best, brightest, and strongest of you at this critical juncture in American history."

Among the many thousands of excited, congratulatory comments to his post:

"When the stakes are high, when you must win, when it’s a no-fail mission, when it’s a critical juncture in history, you send in the best, and Matt certainly is the best of the best. Congratulations to Matt! Making the Military Great Again, 2025!"

STARRS Chairman Lt General Rod Bishop said of the President's announcement, "GREAT news for our Air Force and GREAT news for Matt and his family! A much better job to go into for his future, than just one that is solely focused on the CRT/DEI eradication effort. That said, we know STARRS will have one great ally in our new Under Secretary of the Air Force! Congratulations to STARRS' Executive VP!"

STARRS is now waiting for Monday to carefully read any of President Trump's over 100 Executive Orders that deal with the military. Buckle up!

One short segment of Pete Hegseth's hearing that we encourage you to watch was when Sen. Eric Schmitt talked about woke examples in the military AND the need for C19 vax mandate remedies for servicemembers. Last February, STARRS leaders visited Capitol Hill and briefed/educated the Senator and his staff on these issues. Very encouraging what Pete says in response.
