The School of Business Office of Undergraduate Programs is seeking undergraduate business students to work during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Applicants may be based on the Hartford, Stamford, Storrs, or Waterbury Campus
The position will be for the Fall and Spring semesters excluding breaks.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Provides assistance to staff and faculty in the preparation of informational or promotional media and/or public relations. May be required to:
- Create social media content including graphics, video content , audio recordings, written communication, engagement plans, media guides, and other informational or promotional materials for web-based formats
- Conduct research utilizing databases, archives, internet, and other information sources
- Plan, implement, attend or cover virtual or in-person events as needed
- Assist in training of other student employees
- Perform basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry, word processing, etc.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required
- Ability to be aware of campus trends and how to communicate effectively utilizing applications such as Instagram, Constant Contact, etc
Hours: 5 to 7 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $17.75 per hour

We're looking for undergraduate students with knowledge of or strong interest in artificial intelligence (AI) to join the CT Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC).
In this role, you'll collaborate with small businesses from various industries, providing guidance and support as they explore and adopt AI solutions to enhance efficiency and optimize their operations.
This is a paid remote internship that will begin the week of February 17th. Students will work a maximum of 10 hours per week for 10 weeks. Applications are due by February, 4th.

Esperanza Teasdale is the Vice President and General Manager, Hispanic Business Unit for PepsiCo Beverages North America, responsible for the overall strategy, engagement, and sales for the company’s $2 billion Hispanic business.
She began her career at PepsiCo as a Brand Manager and, over the past 20 years, has demonstrated excellence in a range of roles driving business results across brands like Pepsi, Lipton, Propel and customers. She is a proud founder of the PepsiCo Demand Accelerator, where she helped build the shopper marketing capability and drive commercial results.
Under her leadership, in 2021, PepsiCo announced Juntos Crecemos (Together We Grow), a $50 million platform aimed at strengthening Hispanic-owned businesses, specifically restaurants, bodegas, and carnicerías (meat markets), addressing foundational business challenges, and supporting business growth. She is recognized as a champion of talent, diversity and engagement.
She is a first-generation Ecuadorian/Colombian daughter to Pablo and Esperanza Escobar. She is married to Jeff Teasdale and has two children. She has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University and MBA from The University of Connecticut.
