We are celebrating the Library's 130th anniversary this year!

Since its humble beginnings in the 1880s with a small shelf of donated books and its dedication on October 31st 1895, the Library has grown into a vibrant hub at the heart of this community. Over the decades, we've made it our priority to serve our community in new and innovative ways. We are so much more than books! We have expanded our services to include a vast digital library, research tools, streaming options, local historical archives, meeting spaces, and year-round programming for all ages.

As we look to our future, we are excited to see what the next 130 years hold. From physical books to digital offerings, winter teas to summer reading celebrations, our mission remains steadfast: to inspire lifelong learning, literacy, and exploration for all.

Throughout 2025, we will offer a variety of exhibits and programs designed to celebrate our shared history.

Mark your calendars now and be sure to join us for a special week of celebration this summer from July 20-27, featuring exciting displays, fun activities, and a visit from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo on July 24.

We'll wrap up the festivities with a community pig roast and barbecue on July 27. More details and events to follow in the coming months!

Let's honor the past and look ahead to a bright future together at our Library!
