WVNCC Student Government Association
SGA provides unique opportunities for students to build relationships, enhance leadership skills, become civically engaged, and maximize their college experiences. SGA includes all students regularly enrolled at West Virginia Northern Community College.
Become a SGA Representative
This is your chance to become an SGA Senator and to be a voting representatives of this group which consists of at least nine senators, one student representative to the Board of Governors, and one representative to the State Advisory Council of Students. Of these nine senators, at least four will come from Wheeling, three from New Martinsville, and three from Weirton.
Submit your SGA application and THREE references
by Friday April 5, at 5pm.

Total Solar Eclipse Viewing
Monday, April 8
2-4:30pm
B&O Building Back Plaza, Wheeling Campus
Join the WVNCC Astronomy Club as we view and track the Total Solar Eclipse, a very rare astronomical occurrence where the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth - casting a shadow which leads to a period of darkness lasting several minutes. Our area will see partial totality of 98%.
Viewing glasses will be provided. Telescopes will also be provided or bring your own. If bringing your own telescope, please make sure it has the appropriate lens filter. More safety guidelines can be found here.
The Eclipse will also be projected inside the B&O Auditorium for those who do not wish to go outside.

Join us this Spring for the Student Symposiums hosted on each campus, featuring the addition of Reverse Job Fairs happening simultaneously.
As students present their projects, employers will have the opportunity to attend, meet our students, and observe their presentations. Students are encouraged to have resumes ready for distribution and engage with potential local employers.
This event offers students a unique platform to showcase their skills and interests in a non-traditional setting.
