LSBC was thrilled to be in attendance today as the province announced its approval of a business plan and funding for constructing a cutting-edge Clinical Support and Research Centre (CSRC) at the new St. Paul's Hospital, reinforcing BC's status as a growing global life sciences hub. Premier David Eby, Ministers Brenda Bailey (JEDI) and Adrian Dix (Health), Fiona Dalton, President & CEO of Providence Health Care and MLA Joan Phillip provided remarks at the announcement.

Providence Health Care and Providence Research operate several major research centres based at St. Paul's Hospital and other surrounding locations. Once complete, the center aims to translate scientific breakthroughs into practical healthcare applications, allowing for an integrated health campus.

Aligning with BC's Life Sciences and Biomanufacturing Strategy under the StrongerBC Economic Plan, the project is expected to attract top scientific, research, and healthcare professionals, support emerging technologies, and help define the future of medicine and patient care in BC and beyond. Congratulations to everyone involved in this groundbreaking initiative! Read the press release here.

A big thank you to everyone who joined this week's Blakes Breakfast Speaking Series: Preparing for J.P. Morgan Week event!
