CFLA-FCAB Seeking Board Member

from Prairie Provinces

CFLA-FCAB logo

The Saskatchewan Library Association (SLA) and Manitoba Library Association (MLA) are jointly seeking nominations for a Prairie Provinces Representative to the CFLA-FCAB Board of Directors.

In order to be nominated, a candidate must be a member in good standing of a member organization (including SLA). Because the Federation represents associations it is important that nominees effectively represent and are connected with the association(s) they represent.

The Prairie Provinces Representative is a member of the CFLA-FCAB Board of Directors. Being a member of the Board can be time-consuming and challenging work as CFLA-FCAB is in its formative years and is working to advance and secure a strong national voice while at the same time building the organization from the ground up. The work is rewarding and provides an opportunity to work with colleagues from across the country.

This role is a two year commitment, from 2024 to 2026. Board members are expected to make themselves available for regular teleconference meetings (currently held monthly). Business will be conducted in between meetings by

email and teleconference.

Please submit your interest to SLA by email to info@saskla.ca before February 22, 2024.
