The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday each month at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is open to YMCA members & non-members. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

GROVE DAY AT THE CAPITOL
On March 25th Chamber representatives took part in Grove and Grand Lake Day at the State Capitol. The group was introduced to the House of Representatives and to the Senate. State legislators and representatives from the Oklahoma hospitality industry met with the group to discuss legislation important to the Grand Lake region. Thank you to everyone that attended this fun and informative day. Contact the Chamber if you are interested in serving on the Legislative committee.

Owner/Operator Joshua McNamee has been cutting hair for 2 years and recently moved to Grove from Tulsa. He offers old school barbering complete with Hot Towel and Shave. Unsalted Waters Charters
A Ribbon Cutting was held by the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on Friday, March 22nd, for Unsalted Waters Chartering at Honey Creek Marina. Captain Grady Bates started his boating career in the Navy and after earned his Captain's License. He brought his chartering service here to Grand Lake as it is the only Oklahoma lake that allows commerce. They offer charters from 2-8 hours for groups up to 15 people. Grady, Josh McNamee, and Grady's sister, Grace, are all licensed captains for this charter service. Grady is also ordained to offer a Wedding Charter!
