Santa Fe Irrigation District Update on
Proposed New Rates & Fire Preparedness
| |
At last night’s City Council meeting, Santa Fe Irrigation District (SFID) General Manager Al Lau provided an update on the agency’s proposed new water rates for the coming years. These rates were outlined in the Proposition 218 Notice sent to customers in late December. These rates will be reviewed at a public hearing during the SFID Board meeting on February 12th.
Mr. Lau also spoke about SFID’s fire preparedness plan and shared valuable tips to help the public prepare for wildland fire evacuations. Fire Chief Josh Gordon joined the discussion, offering additional wildfire safety tips for the community and detailing all of the preparation and training our Fire Departments perform on an annual basis.
If you missed the meeting, you can watch this important presentation by clicking the link below or visiting the City’s website. You can also visit SFID website for more information about proposed water rates and to use the rate calculator.
