SAFETY TIP: National Work Zone Awareness Week is recognized the week of April 15-19, 2024. and highlights the crucial role that EPE's line workers play in the energy delivery to our customers. As motorists navigate their communities, they may encounter work zones put in place to upgrade EPE infrastructure. EPE reminds the community that their responsibility is to respect signage and barricades and help us safeguard our crews who are committed to maintaining our energy delivery system. EPE is partnering with the Texas Department of Transportation El Paso District, the New Mexico Department of Transportation District 2 and local law enforcement for NWZA Week. The Star on the Mountain will be lit orange on April 17 as part of the recognition.



Powering Emergency Preparedness

In March, EPE hosted the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Division of Emergency Management for a collaborative outreach event for emergency preparedness. This event aimed to provide PUCT and TDEM staff and local emergency management officials a tour of our most notable infrastructure. This effort was a vital part of PUCT's broader strategy aimed at enhancing emergency management personnel's understanding of utility operations in their area, focusing on how these utilities manage operations and resources during emergencies.



National Volunteer Month
