"The Crowd" is a West Country/West Coast love affair with bittersweet self-reflection running through it. Swim Surreal head into the new day with a head full of questions and push on through into the sunlight over the track's laid-back groove. Blurring the lines between subtly psychedelic soul and folk with striking, plaintive vocals, the song's locked bass and electric piano keep things rolling on into the everlasting blue.
