Town
Last month, Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Chief Jamie Field presented the results of a comprehensive organizational assessment to the Town Council. Conducted by a third party, the 300-page report was very complimentary of the Police Department and its community-policing approach to law enforcement. Key recommendations included consolidating the department into a single building and adjusting the staffing structure to improve organizational efficiency. In response, the Town Council and Police Department are evaluating ways to implement these recommendations to ensure the highest level of service and public safety for the community. See Los Gatan article here.
With the State of California’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) certifying Los Gatos’ Housing Element, the Town Council is addressing required policy changes. This month, the Council will also review zoning amendments and updates to parking regulations at its January 21st meeting.
