Team 2011D 2024 Vex Robotics Ohio State Champions

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Robotics Team has three-peated as high school state champions. This year, 2011D (Alex Fu, Grace Filmer, Charlie Pausche, Will Wendland, Cassidy Klodnick, and Doris Chen) from BBHHS and team 60883W from Akron STEM High School battled through the elimination bracket to keep the Vex Championship in Northeast Ohio. Not only did 2011D win the tournament, but they also won the Skills Champion and Think Awards.

Teams 2011A (Brady and Brinley McCreery, Cam Molina, Mallory Zukauckas, and Lillie Marsh) and 2011B (Cadence Guo, Abanoub Hana, Ben Brobst, and Nathan Sutton) partnered and also made it to the State Finals (making three of the four finals teams from BBHHS). Along with making the finals, Team 2011A won the Build Award, and 2011B won the Amaze Award. The Bees were well represented at the State Tournament, with eight of the nine teams this season being qualifiers.

The season will conclude later this April, with Teams A, B, D, F, and J & K having qualified for Worlds in Dallas, TX. Team 2011A looks for their three-peat of making the World's Final Elimination Bracket.
