Dear River Forest residents,

The Village is taking a look at our commercial zoning ordinances. Discussions on proposed amendments for already existing commercial zoning districts will continue at the April 11 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting when questions will be addressed. The Village Board unanimously directed the Zoning Board of Appeals to consider the proposed changes. If you’d like to learn more about the changes and the approval process, please visit our FAQ page

The Age Friendly Advisory Committee recently submitted their final Age-Friendly Community Report to the Board of Trustees. The report summary will be mentioned at the April 8 Board meeting before it is published, and will detail recommendations to further improve quality of life for our senior residents. The report can be found here.

Please see click here for safety tips on how to prevent yourself or a loved one from becoming a victim.
