St. Francis Xavier Families,

Today was certainly a FUN Friday! Our Rebel Run was a HUGE success! Together we raised $22,037 plus an anonymous donation of $2500 towards our gym floor. I am happy to report that partnered with our Call of the Heart, we have raised our $40,000 to replace the gym floor! This is AMAZING! Thank you so much to all who gave so generously.

Though it was chilly out, students walked, danced, and ran their hearts out today.

As I said at our Benefit Banquet, it takes a village to raise a child and a community to support a school! A huge thank you to our SEC group for all the hours you spent collectively between these two fundraisers. We are grateful.

In His Merciful Love,

Mrs. Rogers

A Note From Mrs. Reis...

Grocery cards are running LOW and will not be reordered. We have NO more Shaw's, a few Trucchi's, and LOTS of Stop and Shop left. We will plan to end Grocery Cards the second week of May! There are TWO more weeks to order.

Family Fundraising Obligations will be billed to your FACTS account towards the end of May after Boosterthon, Benefit Banquet, and Grocery Cards are all wrapped up!

A Note from the Dioscean Health Office

The Diocese, was asked to create a Wellness Committee to inform decisions on policies and procedures that are put forth for use here at the school level. A decision of this committee was to gather student data on the health and wellness of students. In order to bring this to fruition, the diocese has asked us to survey students in grades 3-8. St. Francis is planning on conducting these surveys in school on Wednesday, May 8th.

In order to protect the fidelity of the survey, they have asked us not to electronically share the questions. We will make them available to see hard copy in the office if you would like to preview the questions. Both Mrs. Shaughnessy and I have reviewed the questions and have provided feedback along the way which they have taken. We feel comfortable with the questions, and believe they are age appropriate. To give you an overarching idea as a parent on the nature of the questions, they are questions on lunch/recess at school, sleep and homework routines, how your child feels, friendships, if they feel safe at school etc. As a parent, we respect that you are the primary educator. If you want to opt OUT of this survey being given to your child, please fill out the form below by Tuesday at 8am so we can give our teachers notice.

Again, if you want to see the questions, please email me and we can make arrangements for you to view them in hardcopy.
