San Elizario City Council Receives Donation from El Paso Electric for Community Enhancement

The City of San Elizario City Council received a $10,000 donation from El Paso Electric in connection with the utility's expansion of its Texas Community Solar program. These funds are earmarked for community enhancements benefiting San Elizario's 10,000+ residents.

The expansion project, which is set to produce 10 megawatts of renewable energy, will be located on a 70-acre site near the intersection of Herring and Chicken Ranch Roads. EPE has enlisted the services of EDF Renewables, a trusted partner, for the construction of the solar facility. Anticipated to be operational by 2024, this initiative represents a significant step forward in providing clean energy solutions to the San Elizario community.
