Spring is just around the corner, and we could think of no better time than now to bring AAUW to the Lansing/Capitol Area of Michigan!
AAUW is an organization whose mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. The organization has a nationwide network of 170,000 members and supporters, 1,000 local branches, and 800 college and university partners.
At the national, state, and branch level, we advocate for a strong system of public education that promotes gender fairness, equity, diversity, and inclusivity. We advocate for the removal of the barriers and implicit biases that hinder the advancement of women and girls. We advocate for economic security for all women and that equality, individual rights, and social justice for a diverse and inclusive society be guaranteed.
It is time to bring AAUW to Lansing, so we are planning an information session in mid-April (date and venue to be announced). We will share more about what AAUW can do to promote positive change for women in the Lansing region and how you can get involved.

Also, please share this with women leaders where you live and work and who you feel would be interested in learning more about AAUW. Our state and local branch leadership will be on hand to answer questions and talk to you about why we are all passionate about AAUW and how it can bring positive change for young girls and women in the Lansing area.
We look forward to hearing from you!
